Overnight care usually begins with a quick check-in to update one another about baby and answer any questions. Then I help everyone settle in for the night. If you’re breastfeeding, I bring baby to you for feeds and handle everything else — burping, diapering, swaddling — so you can return to sleep. If baby is bottle-fed, I may not wake you at all, bringing them back to you in the morning before heading home.

I only provide overnight postpartum doula services at this time.

My overnight shifts are a minimum of 8 hours, usually from 9/10:00 pm to 5/6:00 am. We can customize longer shifts if your family would like extra rest — whatever works best for you.

Although I prefer a minimum of an 8-week contract, I am flexible! Some parents need just a few weeks of support, while others continue into months three or four—or longer. I will listen to your needs and wishes and we can work together to decide on what’s best for your family.

The cost of overnight doula care will be charged hourly at a rate of $55 until the completion of my certification, which is expected to be by July of 2026. Any bookings after that time will be charged $65 per hour.
I ask for a retainer for services for 50% of the total contact in advance, which will be applied to the last half of your contract period. The remainder will be due by the date overnight care begins.
Options for help in covering the cost of your postpartum care could be asking for doula services as a shower or baby gift from friends or relatives. Your HSA or FSA could possibly be used for reimbursement for doula services. Another choice could be employer-funded fertility benefits, such as Carrot Fertility.
Feel free to ask to brainstorm with me about possibilities!

Absolutely! Babies rarely just eat and go back to sleep. Most nights, they need more than feeding — burping, diapering, rocking, and comforting, often multiple times. While I’m there I’ll bring your baby to you for nursing and then take over the rest of the care, so you can get right back to sleep while your little one is safely and lovingly cared for.

Yes! To keep my work sustainable, I rest (rather than sleep) when your baby rests, so I need a bed or a comfortable surface nearby where I can take a short break while staying close to your little one. -
Overnight care is an extension of the family’s nighttime parenting and includes all infant care, and maternal and breastfeeding support. Overnight, the postpartum doula's main focus is on the baby and maintaining a peaceful nighttime environment in the home. This means that although I try to take care of washing any bottles or pump parts that are used throughout the night or light baby laundry, I do not do any other household chores.

I am willing to travel if we are a good fit! Although I am located in Bellingham, WA, I am happy to provide care in other cities - from Blaine to Seattle and most areas in between.
